The Government of the Sovereign Kingdom of Antarctica categorically rejects any claims by foreign states to the territory of Antarctica or the islands of the Southern Ocean and considers them a relic of the colonial era. The claims of the governments of Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, France, Great Britain and Norway are legally untenable. They are based either on examples of multinational research expeditions or economic activity and presence on the continent in the 19th - early 20th centuries. However, both research and economic activity in the form of whaling and the presence on the continent of representatives of all these countries covered only an insignificant territory of 0.00000001% of the territory of our state. In other words, they have nothing to lay claim to here! Some countries, such as Great Britain, are trying to justify their frankly dubious claims by a geographical projection along a parallel from their former colonies of Australia and New Zealand to Antarctica. And on this basis of the sectoral principle, together with their former colonies, and now members of the British Commonwealth of Nations, they are groundlessly trying to lay claim to the vast territories of our state. France and Norway mistakenly followed the same path in relation to their claims to the territories of the SKA, relying on the sectoral principle of their overseas possessions. Argentina and Chile laid claim to the legal territory of the SKA on the basis of the Treaty of Tordesillas between Spain and Portugal of 1494, by which all the still undiscovered territories of the New World were divided between the Spanish and Portuguese empires. And they are supposedly the heirs of the Spanish Empire, which has long ceased to exist, and on this basis they lay claim to the lands of the SKA. All these insinuations seem untenable, far-fetched and are categorically rejected by the government of the SKA. Moreover, all these countries signed the Antarctic Treaty in 1959, which froze their claims to sovereignty over the territories of the Sovereign Kingdom of Antarctica. However, we are ready to provide all the opportunities that depend on us for the implementation of the economic, industrial, energy, demographic, investment and scientific potential of these countries on the territory of the SKA to the mutual benefit of the parties!
